MY MUSICAL BACKGROUND/JOURNEY
My Story
Had a lucky upbringing. got to experience musical joy and passion at a very young age with my elementary teacher Mrs. H. Also enjoyed being in her choirs until middle-school. I played trumpet and baritone in grade school band- In middle school I was playing Tuba, and singing in Men's choir. I gave up brass (and marching band) going into highschool, opting instead to play football and I bought a Guitar...
~ Through highschool I learned at night via tablature and chord charts. I enjoyed playing melodies on guitar and singing songs over chord progressions. During senior year, I saw a class option called AP Music Theory and decided to give it a shot.
~ I had an epiphany that semester- music was actually comprehendable, and usable in real time, once you learn the language.
~So i went on, and studied theory for two more years during college, completing 6 courses of theory overall with sight reading and rhythm reading and all that, *all without being able to read music* haha.
~I played in a band in college, another band after that, and now am in my third band, and also doing my own solo Looping Act, which I am very excited about.
~I dont find music students they find me.
~Musical Universe is Ever Expanding.
